About Us. . .

We became involved in this project after hearing about the extreme shortage of ice in Douglas County and learning that the Castle View High School hockey team does not have a home rink. For us, this is more than just a building—it’s about creating a place where kids can play the sport they love close to home, families can gather, and the community can grow stronger together.

What do we know and why would we work on this? Before we retired, this was our profession! We know ice rinks!! We were NOT paid to present a certain outcome.. we’ve presented the outcome we find works for Castle Rock.

Our team is rounded out with USER GROUPS including teenage players, parents of players, adult league members, former professional hockey players, and current high school coaches and Hockey Board Members—all bringing firsthand knowledge of what makes a rink successful and a community thrive.

What drives us is simple: creating a place where families, athletes, and neighbors can gather, learn, and enjoy the spirit of sports together. Each project builds on years of hands-on experience, a passion for ice sports, and a commitment to delivering welcoming, functional, and enduring community spaces.

We’ve done our homework!!

The Castle Rock Ice Center is planned specifically for our community of 85,000 residents and the primary market area. People who live in the primary and secondary market areas will pay for classes and hockey leagues within a predictable 10–20-minute drive. We want to help the Town of Castle Rock develop a first-class facility, with excellent programs and instruction, which will also attract participants from outside the primary area into the currently underserved tertiary area.

When we first started, we weren’t sure if an ice rink was possible for Castle Rock. Now we know—it’s not only possible, it’s the right size and it will thrive here.

Our Town Council members have been open to listening, and that gives us confidence. But this project needs the community’s voice.

Other rinks are being planned across the metro area, but none meet the needs of Castle Rock:

  • A home rink for our high school hockey teams
  • Skating programs for our kids and families
  • Ice time for adult leagues and community players

This rink isn’t about financial gain. It’s about passion—for kids, families, and a stronger community. A place where confidence is built, friendships grow, and Castle Rock comes together.

We’re not asking for donations today. We’re asking for support. Tell us—or tell your Council Member—that Castle Rock is ready for its own rink. Together, we can make it happen.
